Set-Up and Fret Level

Our Full Set-up includes:

Full diagnostics and inspection of the entire instrument
Full inspection of all electronics, personalized recommendations for upgrades and improvements
Full redress and polish of frets with 10 courses of fine sandpapers and micromesh with a complete high gloss buff, cleaning, and conditioning of fret board
Tightening hardware
Small parts or screws replacement
Restring
Nut slots adjustment and polish
Truss rod nut lubrication (if needed) and full truss rod adjustment,
Tremolo balance or tailpiece setting,
Saddle height adjustment
Intonation set using even temperament methods,
Electronics check
Pickup adjustment
Detail polish and cleaning
Electric/acoustics get a balance of output
Archtops and mandolins have the bridge fitted to the top, located, and glued in place at the customer’s request.

Fret levels include measuring and precision leveling of frets, recrowning with diamond files, and redressing to a high polish.

Standard: Remove old strings, clean fretboard and polish tops of frets, condition fretboard, tighten loose tuners and hardware, oil fretboard, stretch strings, tune to pitch, full truss rod adjustment, adjust any equipped tremolo or tailpiece and polish guitar. Cost of strings & materials is not included.
Deluxe: Includes everything in our Restring & Tune plus Adjustment: light cleaning of hardware, adjust saddle height for proper string action, adjust pickup height and output, adjust intonation (how well the guitar plays in-tune across the neck) and more detailed polish of instrument. Cost of strings & materials is not included.
